What is a Subject Spotlight?

Subject Spotlights fuse education and entertainment to bring you the new way of researching your university options. Try out a course before you apply - meet the instructor, explore the content on the programme and discover if the programme is right for you.

Developed with the University and academic team, Subject Spotlights are entirely free and available on-demand, you can choose to engage with the content in the way that best suits you - whether that’s in bite-sized chunks or in binge-sessions!

As well as this, we offer a range of scholarship and bursary options, and our Careers and Employability team will support you in securing employment and work experience, by offering 1-2-1 appointments, application and CV advice and mock interview and assessment centres. Whatever your requirements, we’re here for you.

Your home away from home

From impressive Edwardian houses to purpose-built townhouse-style flats, we have accommodation to fit everyone’s taste and budget across our two sites, The Village and The City.

Did you know we guarantee University-managed accommodation to all first-year students who apply before the 1 September (of their year of entry).

During your time in University-managed accommodation, you’ll be supported by Residential Advisors to help you settle into your new home. As well as this, they organise loads of events for you to meet new people and try new things. From growing foods in the allotment, quiz nights and cocktail evenings, to craft activities and cultural food nights, you’ll never be short of something to do.
